What change am I expecting with Project ADAM Implementation?

Project ADAM provides easier and more secure access to applications through Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Users will be able to access multiple applications using one account (Windows Account) and by logging just once. Depending on the user's location and/or device, user will be asked to verify the identity, as additional security measures. 

What’s the first thing I should do once Project ADAM is implemented?

You may start with your registration to the Self-Service Password Reset/Multi-Factor Authentication and choose how you want your identity to be verified. After registration, you’re all set and ready to use and enjoy these features. PROJECT ADAM REGISTRATION

Can I use google or other authenticator app in the registration? 

We don't recommend using google or other authenticator apps as this might conflict with existing applications that are using your email address as well, (e.g., Salesforce) Please use Microsoft authenticator app on the SSPR registration.

How long can the answers to security questions be?

Answers can be 3 to 40 characters long.

What should I do if I forget the answers to my security questions? 

We recommend that you configure 2 or more authentication methods. If you have configured two or more authentication methods, the self-service password reset system may provide alternative methods for identity verification. This can include sending an OTP to your registered phone number or allowing you to authenticate through your linked authenticator app. Contact your organization's IT Support or refer to the system's documentation for assistance in such cases. 

When do I need to register for MFA?

When Project ADAM goes live, you will be asked to register before you can access the SSOenabled application. While this will only take 7-10 minutes to complete, you can avoid this short disruption by registering in advance.

I am prompted with access denied page when trying to access the registration/password reset portal. What should I do?

There might be cached credentials in your browser that is not authorized to use the feature. Try to use incognito browsing.

Apart from smartphones, can I also install an Authenticator App on my tablet ?

Yes, register again using the tablet.

What is a sign-in method?

Sign-in method refers to the authentication methods where you can verify your identity when asked.

How many sign-in method do I need to register?

At least one but we recommend that you register to all or two methods, one as default/primary and the other one as back-up or alternate method.

What are the requirements needed for registration?

Can I register two or more mobile numbers?

Yes, aside from your primary number, you can register an alternative phone number.

SELF-SERVICE PASSWORD RESET (SSPR)

What is self-service password reset?

Self-service password reset is a system that allows users to change  their passwords without the need for IT support. It provides a convenient and secure way for individuals to regain access to their accounts by verifying their identity through various authentication methods. You may access our Self – Service Password Reset on Project ADAM Portal  (adam.fphc.com) , select the SSPR page and then click the “Change Password” link.

Is the self-service password reset system secure?

Yes, the self-service password reset system is designed with security in mind. It incorporates various authentication methods and safeguards to protect your account. These may include security questions, two-factor authentication, account lockout policies, and encryption to ensure that your password reset process is secure and your information remains protected.

Why should I use the self-service password reset instead of contacting IT support?

Using the self-service password reset system saves you time and allows you to reset your password independently, without relying on IT support. It offers a convenient and efficient way to regain access to your account whenever you need it, without the need for manual intervention.

What are the requirements for using the self-service password reset system?

Your account needs to be active and enrolled in the self-service password reset system. You will also need to provide additional information or verify your identity using pre-defined methods you configured during the registration.

Can I reset my password from any device or browser?

Yes, you can reset your password using any device or browser that has internet access. The self-service password reset system is accessible through a web portal allowing you to initiate the password reset process from wherever you are.

How often should I change my password?

The maximum password age is 90 days or every 3 months.

Can I use the self-service password reset system if my account is locked?

Yes. If you're account got locked out, you may reset your password using the Project ADAM portal (adam.fphc.com). Go to SSPR and then click the “Forgot Password” link to unlock your account.

What happens if I enter incorrect information during the password reset process?

5 incorrect information attempts on password reset identity validation will lead you to "Invalid Security Code" page. And you'll receive a prompt, "You've tried to verify your account too many times in the last 1 hour. For security reasons, you'll have to wait 24 hour(s) before you can try again." when you try to restart you reset process. If you really need to reset your password, contact Service Desk.

Can I change my password to a previously used password?

You need to enter password that is different from your 12 previous passwords.

Are there any password complexity requirements?

Your password should not contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters Be at least six characters in length Contain characters from three of the following four categories: English uppercase characters (A through Z) English lowercase characters (a through z) Base 10 digits (0 through 9) non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)

What should I do if someone else has access to my account and I need to reset my password?

If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, its crucial to take immediate action. First, try to reset your password using the Self – Service Password Reset that can be found on Project ADAM portal (adam.fphc.com), under SSPR click the “Forgot Password” option, you will be redirected to the FGEN Apps login page, click the “Forgot My Password” link to reset your password as quickly as possible. Or you may report immediately to IT Security.

What if I encounter an error during the password reset process?

If you encounter an error during the reset process, screenshot your error and report it to IT Help Desk for troubleshooting and assistance.

Can I reset my password if I'm on a temporary leave or vacation?

Yes, in most cases, you should be able to reset your password even if you're on temporary leave or vacation. The “Reset My Password” link on Project Adam Portal (adam.fphc.com) is designed to provide convenience and accessibility to users at any time.

How can I update my security questions and answers?

There's no option for updating. But you can delete the existing registration for Security question and register again to include your desired questions and answers.

How long are the email and SMS one-time passcodes valid?

The session lifetime for password reset is 15 minutes. From the start of the password reset operation, the user has 15 minutes to reset their password. The email and SMS one-time passcode are valid for 5 minutes during the password reset session.

I received a message saying, "Your password reset token has expired", what should I do?

This error indicates that the password reset link you received has expired. Visit the “Reset My Password” link again on Project Adam Portal (adam.fphc.com) and request a new password reset email. 

MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

What are the different Multi – Factor Authentication (MFA) Channels?

There are several options to verify your identity via MFA: (1) Microsoft Authenticator App (2) Verification Code (3) Text (4) Call. To setup your MFA, you may check our Project ADAM Portal at adam.fphc.com > How to Guides > Multi – Factor Authentication

What is Temporary Access Pass (TAP)?

Temporary Access Pass is often used as a backup method in case the primary MFA method is unavailable due to reasons such as a lost or forgotten device and poor network connectivity. This feature bypass the MFA for a short period of time (1 hour).

You may request for a Temporary Access Pass upon approval from your immediate Supervisor or Manager.

How long are the email and SMS one-time passcodes valid?

The session lifetime for password reset is 15 minutes. From the start of the password reset operation, the user has 15 minutes to reset their password. The email and SMS one-time passcode are valid for 5 minutes during the password reset session.

SINGLE SIGN-ON

What is Single Sign-On?

Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication process that allows users to access multiple applications or services with a single set of login credentials.

How to report sign in errors in SSO?

In the troubleshooting details page, click the “Copy info to clipboard” and paste it on the medium that you will use to report the issue. You can report it using the ticketing service tool,  support request or via email.

What is MyApps portal? 

Myapps portal, myapps.microsoft.com, is the single portal where you can access your applications that are SSO-enabled.
